The Executive Director of PANTONE says, "The desire for tranquility, strength, and optimism have inspired a Fall 2016 color palette that is led by the Blue family. Along with anchoring earth tones, exuberant pops of vibrant colors also appear throughout the collections. Transcending gender, these unexpectedly vivacious colors in our Fall 2016 palette act as playful but structured departures from your more typical fall shades."

Pantone Inc. is the authority on color, as well as the provider of color systems. Every year, Pantone predicts the trend of colors in each season and deliberates the meaning of each color, mainly for establishing a fashion statement for the printing, textile dyeing, and fashion industry.

#1 Riverside

Blue is the warmest color ♥ Riverside is the lead of Fall 2016 color palette because it is powerful in calming and peacing people's mind. Denim apparel in Riverside is a must for the season!

#2 Airy Blue

Airy Blue is a color derived from the PANTONE Color of the Year 2016, Serenity. Apart from Riverside, Airy Blue seems to have a shade of grey in it, which evokes feelings of lightness and freedom, adding a sense of softness.

#3 Sharkskin

Grey, as a color falls between black and white, represents modesty. Sharkskin is pair-able with all the colors of Fall 2016 color palette; with color embellishment, it can really stand out. The grey and white marble pattern is the perfect example. Speaking of marble pattern, I would like to recommend my favorite phone case brand Madotta; Its marble phone cases are truly beautiful. ♥

#4 Aurora Red

Red is the color of confidence and enthusiasm ♥ The pursuit of red has continued from 2016 Spring to Winter. Wearing the Aurora Red lipstick will definitely be pleasing to the eyes. Take M.A.C Ruby Woo, Chanel Rouge Allure #104 Passion, and Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro #400 into your consideration!

#5 Taupe Warm

Warm Taupe is the color of land; this neutral color suggests reassurance and stability. Just like Sharkskin, it is a classic color that will never fall out of trend. Pardon me for bringing up lipsticks again, but there are multiple lipstick colors from Kylie's Cosmestic Lipstick Kit, inspired by warm taupe such as Moon, Maliboo, and Expose.

#6 Dusty Cedar

Dusty Cedar is a darker shade of the PANTONE Color of the Year 2016, Rose Quartz. As the fall and winter version of pink, Dusty Cedar has a color tone of dried roses, expressing feelings of warmth and tolerance. Try ColourPop's Eyeshadow Foursome 'Zingara' and give your winter makeup a brand new vibe.

#7 Lush Meadow

I always thought green was a color hard to pair with anything when I was younger, but as I grew older, I started seeing the beauty to it. Different from the vitality of Aurora Red, Lush Meadow is more of an elegant, sophisticated color. This fall, Dolce Gabanna released the collection 'Botanical Garden,' featuring Lush Meadow, banana leaf print, and embroidered insects in apparel and accessories.

#8 Spicy Mustard

Yellow is probably the most exotic color ♥ As the Executive Director of Pantone, Leatrice Eiseman described, "Spicy Mustard bounces elegantly off other colors in the palette." The color of yellow is always bold, unique, and unexpected.

#9 Potter's Clay

Orange is the undertone of Potter's Clay. Imagine the gold, orange, and red shades on the maple leaf all combined together, yup, that's the color. Potter's Clay is the last neutral color in the palette; it represents strong foundation. Cholé's Faye Bag in Potter's Clay is made to bring an added degree of layering to your overall style ♥

#10 Bodacious

Purple always has a juxtaposition of romance and mystery. Bodacious, as a combination of pink and purple, is more rich and vivid and thus, creates a sense of playfulness. Bodacious is believed to be a key color in the fashion world!

Above are the 10 new colors to fall in love with ♥ Want to expand your closet? Use this article as a guideline, and you can never go wrong with purchasing new apparel and accessories! People who like neutral tones can go for RIverside, Airy Blue, Sharkskin, Warm Taupe, Dusty Cider, and Potter's Clay. Other people who like vivid tones can aim for Aurora Red, Lush Meadow, Spicy Mustard, and Bodacious. Happy shopping and see you all next time! xx
